Job Search

Went to an employment agency. Took the tests for clerical. Was a little nervous. (I'm an "old-timer" afterall!). Knew more than I thought, but need to review. Am I selling myself short? I mean, I have a 4 year degree and I'm looking at $10/hour jobs! This is SO not where I could have imagined being at this age. Who am I kidding. I never imaged being this age!

This economy

As everyone knows this economy sucks. Every day there is another company laying employees off. A couple of days ago I got my electric bill and with our new rate increase my bill increased $75! I wish I could avoid the grocery store all together! Besides the escalating cost of a war I think we as a society have lived beyond our means for way too long and it's time to pay the piper. As for me personally I think I live pretty cheaply, but there is always more I could do. It's a scary time and I don't see it turning around sharply anytime soon. Could we every imagined a world like this growing up in the 80's? What do you think?

So tired of doing income taxes!!! I'm never 100% certain I'm optimizing my deductions. I wish I would have went to business school!!!

Introduction

Dedicated to 1.) Turning 39 this year and 2.) Feeling like I missed the boat somewhere along the way. To make matters even more dismal, my 20th high school reunion is this summer. Where the hell did the time go? Not to mention all the great things I was going to do? Change is coming and I thought this would be a way to help that along.
